She welcomes experienced players or those who have never picked up a racket from 4 years old to 85 years old, Kirsty will be able to point you in the right direction and improve your badminton.

Kirsty endeavours to enhance opportunities and create communities of all different ages, abilities and backgrounds to be inspired to participate in badminton. Delivering high quality weekly junior and adult sessions, her aim is to inspire others to play and improve badminton through professionally delivered programmes. Badminton is a great game, from young players developing their reflexes and coordination to more mature players whose wish is to remain active and to retain health. Whatever their motivation, it is very rewarding to see people of all abilities on court and focusing on the enjoyment and intrinsic value of playing badminton.

‘Having played badminton for a few years, I decided it was time to improve a bit. Kirsty is an excellent Coach because she looks at each player as an individual and carefully observes to see where improvement is needed.

She is very good at explaining and demonstrating and is also extremely patient! I found her very encouraging and appreciated the fact that she tailored each lesson to the areas I needed to work on. Her classes are great fun and have led to significant improvements.

I would whole-heartedly recommend her as a Coach.’

Why play badminton?

Badminton is the world’s fastest sport – the shuttle has been clocked at 306mph (493kph)! It is also the UK’s most popular racket sport and has millions playing every year worldwide. It is a technical sport that explores speed changes, reaction times, good motor coordination and endurance challenges. Furthermore, at high levels of play, the sport demands excellent fitness: players require aerobic stamina, agility, strength, speed, precision and the development of slick racket skills.

Almost everyday there is an opportunity to play badminton through sessions that Kirsty runs.
